This month I would like to introduce you to Debbi Fink. Debbi is a Licensed Esthetician, Massage Practitioner, Nail Tech and Esthetics Instructor (YES -she is a busy lady!).
She lives in Concord, CA where she became Oncology-Trained in 2013. She told me after her training “she was so happy as she had finally found what her path and passion in Esthetics was meant to be”.
She has been working with clients in her area with cancer and also owns a Salon & Spa located inside Senior Residence Community in her area.
This year she decided to enter “The Skin Games” competition in the “OPEN” Category. She was able to show how being Oncology-Trained we can offer care, compassion and results with a client that is going through chemotherapy. The competition required a series of 8 videos as well as Before & After pictures to show results. Not only did she get great results, she was also able to create awareness for becoming Oncology-Trained.
It was the first annual National Competition and she was chosen as a finalist – yay!!
I was so happy and proud of all that she has done and was able to attend the event in support of her. She was awarded a very special award as a part of the Game Changer category called “Industry Leader”! Wow, what an incredible honor! You go girl!!!!
I hear now that due to Debbi bringing the Oncology-Trained awareness to the forefront the competition will now include a category for Compassionate Care next year, so be sure to check it out. For more details on the competition, the award, or the 2017 event contact: TheSkinGames.com or Debbi:
Congrats Debbi! You did a great job and really represented “Oncology-Trained” Estheticians in such an amazing way! Debbi is also one of the Oncology Spa Solutions® Regional trainers and facilitates all the classes in the Northern Cal area.
