As a licensed esthetician for 23 years, a licensed esthetic Instructor 10 years, a NCEA Certified and licensed massage therapist for 18 years, Traci’s path to Oncology Esthetics began when a longtime client stopped coming for her regular monthly appointments. She discovered after reaching out to her, she had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. At the time there wasn’t enough information or trainings on what type of skincare treatments could be performed without causing harm. Traci used personal research and compassionate intention to make home visits to care for her. Her client was so moved by her willingness to serve along with her loving support to “show up”, at a time when her family members and friends couldn’t deal with her diagnosis.
This story was the catalyst that lead Traci to pursue becoming an oncology-trained esthetician, an oncology esthetic instructor, and starting “A New Daly Beginning” a non-profit in Georgia. Her non-profit will allow cancer patients, survivors and caregivers the opportunity to receive complimentary safe and relaxing skincare, massage, and wellness therapies along with life changing education.
